How To Apply A Vinyl Decal

How To Apply A Vinyl Decal

So you finally received your new decal from WickedGoodz in the mail now what?First you want to clean the area thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or soap and water. Allow this to dry! Do not use a glass cleaner because it will leave a residue behind that will prevent the sticker from adhering well. Take a credit card firmly across the sticker through the clear transfer tape to prepare it for application. By doing this it makes the sticker will cling to the transfer tape and removes any air bubbles that may have formed. Peel the white paper backing off the sticker. If the sticker clings to the backing, us your fingers to press the vinyl onto the clear transfer tape. Place your sticker onto the surface and rub it in place firmly with a squeegee or credit card. For best results, wait 24 hours before moving to the next step. This is the part to be careful with .Slowly peel the clear transfer tape off at an sharp angle. Be careful not to pull the sticker off the surface. Usually you would want to not pull the transfer tape off at the same direction as long pointed pieces of the vinyl due to the fact it has the ability to pull it up. You can use your fingers to press the vinyl back down firmly and slowly peel the transfer tape off again. Once the tape is off you now have your decal applied. If for some reason you have bubbles you can use a sewing needle to poke a small hole and press the vinyl down smoothly.
